Senior Analyst – Energy and LNG (Consulting Assignment)

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced consultant with expertise in energy market analysis, with a particular focus on the LNG, FSRU, and LNGC markets. Could this be you?
About the assignment:
The assignment involves analysis of global market dynamics related to LNG and associated sectors. We are seeking someone who can extract and structure data from third-party databases and present the insights in PowerPoint. Strong skills in Microsoft products, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are therefore required.
Tasks include:
Analysis of LNG, FSRU, and LNGC markets
Use and processing of data from third-party databases
Preparing presentations and decision support material in PowerPoint
Desired qualifications:
Experience with LNG market analysis and price forecasting
Background from major energy companies, research firms, or the shipping sector
Preferably 10 years of experience in energy markets (LNG, gas, power, oil, or carbon credits)
Familiarity with systems and databases such as Rystad, Bloomberg, Eikon/Workspace, Fearnleys, Affinity, and IEA
Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Master’s degree in economics, energy, petroleum economics, or another relevant scientific field
Experience with conferences, client presentations, or teaching is an advantage
Strong English language skills
Personal qualities:
Structured, independent, and business-oriented
Confident in presentations and communication of insights
Work location: Oslo
Start date: August 2025
Duration: 3–6 months
